As 2010 comes to a close, a number of year-end polls are being published, showcasing the most popular musical artists, athletes and movies over the past 12 months. One measure of popularity can be determined by looking to internet search engines. Yahoo, Bing and Google have all published their results in the U.S., naming Kim Kardashian as one of the hottest searches for the year.
Google has just published the results for the top searches in the Philippines. On Friday, Zeitgeist 2010: How the world searched, was released, revealing the top trends in the Philippines. As one of the most popular Filipino stars in the world, it is no surprise to see Charice Pempengco listed in several categories.
. Justin Bieber claimed the No. 5 spot while “Glee” came in at No. 7.
In the fastest rising people category, Charice came in at No. 8 while Justin landed at No. 4. As for local talent, Charice claimed the top spot above other stars like Sarah Geronimo.
